Description

Job Description - Perform desktop publishing (DTP) of structurally complex technical publications for electronic/print distribution, including; technical reports, articles, brochures, proceedings, proposals, CD's and web content. Communicate effectively with dept. management and authors about editorial, classification and style issues and technical details of publishing system and journal requirements, and version control to produce and maintain publication archives.

Duties - Perform DTP of graphics-intensive, structurally complex marketing and technical publications for electronic and print distribution. Archive documents, manage proper versioning control, maintain adherence to APL and departmental quality management processes and procedures. Assist with internal website online content management.


Requirements

Required - Minimum of 5 years experience producing complex, pring and electronic documents. Mac & PC platform experience. Expertise in all MS Suite applications including template design and modification. Experience with publishing/graphics/multimedia production software and production methods. Demonstrated experience maintaining a high-level, quality-assurance workflow. Understanding of online technologies and asset management.

Must be a customer-oriented, flexible, problem-solver. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Desired - Adobe Framemaker and InDesign experience a plus. Understanding of APL/NSTD Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures. Must be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph examination.
